Major Locations
These are the key locations that make up the greater town of South Park itself. Though the town's exact layout shifts according to story needs, these locations are organized here by their approximate neighborhood. This section is mostly those that have appeared across multiple episodes and/or in the video games, as well as the known residences of recurring characters.
Town
Food and Arts District
South Park Mall
Northern Outskirts
Downtown
Elementary School
Residential Neighborhood
Avenue des los Mexicanos
The boys have always been depicted living on the same street, but the exact lineup and order of the boys' houses has varied over many episodes. (Kenny lived across the train tracks from Stan in "Chickenpox" and the movie, for example, but from Kyle in the video games.)
Ranches and Farms
Stark's Pond and Wilderness
Outskirts
- These locations are often described as "just outside town" and are often a short drive or walk away, though they are nonetheless identified as part of the town.
Underground
Defunct
- These formerly recurring locations seem to have been abandoned, destroyed or renovated into locations listed above.
Other Recurring Locations
- These locations have appeared a few times around town in the show (or games) but their exact neighborhood can't be approximated.
Park County
- These are notable recurring locations near but distinctly outside South Park.
Famous Brands
Famous brand stores are often depicted within the town for jokes, but only a handful have appeared more than once or twice on the show, and usually not integrated into the rest of town. (Except as included above.)
Incidental Locations
- Organized by category, these are locations which have only appeared once or twice and/or don't have a known location within the town.
Former Residences
- These residences belonged to characters who have moved out, died, or have only appeared in one episode.
